Ecolon is a ceramic based coating which is mostly made of silicon dioxide (also known as silica or SiO2), a material most commonly found in nature such as stone and sand.
Unlike traditional cookware with PTFE-based non-stick coating, Ecolon is not harmful to the environment and the human body.
Engineered for healthy, efficient cooking Nature+ Cookware incorporates the innovation of EcolonTM Coating which is made all natural materials such as sand, stone and silica. The coating leads to environmentally friendly perfectly safe scratch resistant non stick cooking performance. Both the inside and outside of the body are coated with EcolonTM, which makes cleaning a breeze for the lifetime of the product. Nature+ Cookware is manufactured in such a way that it is just one third the weight of conventional cast iron cookware, and heat is conducted through the cookware to create a convection effect for efficient energy use and thorough cooking.
